Biography
Jane Eileen Timken , born November 5, 1966, is a Republican politician and attorney serving as Ohio State Senator for District 29, which covers Canton and most of Stark County. She was appointed to the seat on January 24, 2025, assuming office January 29, 2025, succeeding Kirk Schuring after his death in November 2024. Timken is the Republican National Committeewoman for Ohio since April 2024 and the first woman elected Chair of the Ohio Republican Party , leading successes like winning all statewide offices in 2018 and delivering Ohio for President Trump. She ran for U.S. Senate in 2022. Married with a background as a businesswoman, she advocates for conservative policies on energy, taxes, job growth, law enforcement, and family issues.
