Jane English represents Senate District 13 in Arkansas, covering parts of North Little Rock and northern Pulaski County. A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, born Elizabeth Jane Marsden on November 9, 1940, she is married to Don English and has one son and one daughter. She has served in the Arkansas Senate since January 2013 and previously served two terms in the Arkansas House of Representatives for House District 42.

Notable achievements include chairing the Senate Education Committee, sponsoring legislation for school board transparency , restructuring the state's job training and adult education system to empower local business leaders, and advocating for a new veterans' nursing home in North Little Rock after the Little Rock facility closed. She holds key positions such as chair of the Senate Education Committee, member of the Senate City, County and Local Affairs Committee, Joint Performance Review, Senate Efficiency Committee, Joint Budget Committee, Arkansas Legislative Council, and Legislative Joint Auditing Committee.
