Biography
Jamie Walsh is a Republican serving his first term as Pennsylvania State Representative for the 117th Legislative District, which includes parts of Luzerne County such as the townships of Black Creek, Butler, Conyngham, Dennison, Dorrance, Fairmount, Foster, Hollenback, Hunlock, Huntington, Lake, Lehman, Nescopeck, Ross, Salem, Slocum, Sugarloaf, and Union; and the boroughs of Conyngham, Dallas, Freeland, Harveys Lake, Jeddo, Nescopeck, New Columbus, Nuangola, Penn Lake Park, Shickshinny, and White Haven.
Born in January 1975 in Luzerne County, Walsh grew up attending Lake-Lehman School District before moving to Wilkes-Barre for Kistler Elementary and Meyers Junior/Senior High School. At age 13, he moved to Anchorage, Alaska, to live with his father and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1993.
His career includes work in the home improvement sector, followed by 12 years in the medical device industry, where he helped grow a company from $3 million to over $30 million in sales, rising to Vice President of Sales. Three years prior to his election, he co-founded and became President of Citizens Advisory of Pennsylvania, a parents' rights organization supporting families in school districts, with a focus on Luzerne County.
Notable focuses include property tax relief, election reform, parental rights, illegal immigration, and protecting constitutional freedoms. In the 2025-26 session, he serves on the House Children and Youth, Health, Housing and Community Development, and State Government committees.
