Biography
Jamie Jackson is a Democratic state representative for Colorado House District 41, appointed in January 2025 by the Arapahoe County Democratic Party vacancy committee to replace Iman Jodeh, who advanced to the state Senate. A Denver native and community activist, she serves as Chief Operating Officer of The Naloxone Project, distributing lifesaving Naloxone to combat the opioid epidemic across Colorado and 12 other states. She is Vice President of Colorado Black Women for Political Action and Criminal Justice Chairperson for the Aurora NAACP, with a lifelong commitment to equity, criminal justice reform, and helping formerly incarcerated individuals reintegrate. Notable achievements include leading Colorado's first jail-based voter registration program as Program Administrator for the Denver Sheriff Department and advancing child welfare legislation as COO of the Colorado Children’s Campaign. She is running for re-election in 2026 and serves on the Transportation, Housing & Local Government and Energy & Environment committees, sponsoring bills on nursing home transitions, youthful offender systems, and older adult workforce support.
