James Reavis is a Democratic member of the Montana House of Representatives, representing District 47, which covers downtown and south Billings, Montana. Born in Butte, Montana, he is an attorney in private practice focusing on family law, criminal defense, and appeals before the Montana Supreme Court. Previously, he served as a public defender for the State of Montana for 11 years, protecting constitutional rights. Notable achievements include testifying before the legislature for over a decade, drafting legislation to protect children from sexual assault, and reducing state government red tape.
