Biography
Jake McCalmon is a Republican representing District 63 in the Tennessee House of Representatives, serving since January 10, 2023, after succeeding Glen Casada. Born on April 6, 1986, he is semi-retired and a former small business owner, living in Williamson County with his wife Rachelle and their three daughters. He is a member of Rolling Hills Community Church in Franklin and advocates for keeping Tennessee conservative, pro-business, and low-tax. Notable positions include service on the Calendar & Rules Committee, Public Service Subcommittee, State & Local Government Committee, and Transportation Committee. He served as Deputy Republican Whip from 2023-2024 and supported the 2023 resolution to expel three Democratic lawmakers for decorum violations.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Brandman University .
- Political Experience: Won the 2022 Republican primary against competitors Laurie Cardoza-Moore and James Sloan , then defeated Democrat Kisha Davis in the general election with 16,696 votes. This marked his first campaign for the Tennessee House.
