Jake Ellzey is a Republican U.S. Representative for Texas's 6th Congressional District, which includes all of Ellis, Navarro, Anderson, Hill, and Cherokee counties, as well as parts of Tarrant, Dallas, Freestone, and Johnson counties. Born in Perryton, Texas, and raised on his family's LZ ranch, he is a retired Navy commander, small business owner, commercial airline pilot, and father of two living in Ellis County with his wife, Shelby. Notable achievements include 20 years of Navy service with nine deployments , 830 carrier landings, service as Air Boss on the USS Ronald Reagan, two Bronze Stars, and eight Air Medals; he also served as Texas Veterans Commission Commissioner under Governor Rick Perry.
