Biography
Jacque Phillips is a Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 31 since 2025. She is an American lawyer and politician who previously served on the Thornton City Council, focusing on affordable housing, education, healthcare access, and economic policy. In 2024, she defeated incumbent Julia Marvin in the Democratic primary with 55% of the vote and won the general election against Republican Heidi Pitchforth. Notable achievements include sponsoring over a half-dozen bills and co-sponsoring over 100 bills signed into law in her first year, such as HB25-1075 and HB25-1028 . She made headlines in 2025 for a landmark bill to reduce new housing costs and received recognition from Thornton's Planning Commission for local housing advocacy.
Education and Political Experience
Phillips is a self-made attorney who worked her way through college and law school after being a high school dropout and single mother.
