Biography

Jaclyn Ford is a Republican representative for House District 170 in the Georgia House of Representatives. Born on September 21, 1977, in Berrien County, she was raised in rural Georgia and continues to live there with her husband, Jake, where they raised their family. District 170 spans from the southern tip of Berrien County to half of Cook County and most of Tift County, a key agricultural area in South Georgia. She serves as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Dixon Gin Co. and is known for her conservative farm values and dedication to south central Georgia.

Education and Political Experience

  • Education: Attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College , where she later served on the Board of Trustees and was named Chair of the ABAC Foundation in 2023. Earned a degree in Agriculture from the University of Georgia.
  • Political Experience and Notable Achievements:
    • Serves on the House Agricultural and Consumer Affairs Committee.
    • Appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to the Georgia Economic Development Board in 2019, following seven years on the Georgia Farm Service Agency Committee.
    • Serves on the Georgia Agribusiness Council Board and the Georgia Farm Bureau Commodities Committee for Cotton; former delegate to the National Cotton Council.
    • Actively involved in local and state organizations to inform policy decisions for her district.
