Jackie E. "Coach" Hayes is a Democratic member of the South Carolina House of Representatives representing District 55 . He has served since 1998, succeeding Marion Hardy Kinon, and is known for his prior career as a football coach at Dillon High School and current role as Director of Operations and Director for Dillon School District 4. Son of Julius and Virgie Hayes, he married Vera Amanda McLellan on March 30, 1985; they have three children.
