Jack C. Johnson is a Republican Tennessee State Senator representing District 27, which includes most of Williamson County. Born on July 25, 1968, in Amarillo, Texas, he has lived in Leiper's Fork/Franklin, Tennessee, for over 30 years with his wife, Deanna , and their three adult children: Mackenzie, Trevor, and Walker. A Presbyterian, Johnson is a conservative leader focused on lowering taxes, defending constitutional rights, securing the border, protecting children, and advancing school choice.
Notable achievements include serving as Republican Leader of the Tennessee State Senate since 2019 , prime sponsor of Senate Bill 1 banning irreversible medical procedures on minors , and helping turn the Senate Republican. He holds committee roles such as Chair/Member of Commerce and Labor, Member of Finance, Ways and Means, and Vice Chair of the Select Committee on Calendar.
