Biography
Jonathan W. "Jack" Fazzino is a Democratic attorney and politician representing Connecticut's 83rd House District, which includes parts of Berlin, Meriden, and Cheshire. Born October 12, 1994, in New Britain, Connecticut, he was first elected to the Connecticut House of Representatives in 2022, assuming office on January 4, 2023, after defeating his opponent 4,986 to 4,872. Prior to this, he served as a Berlin Town Councilor starting in 2021, where he sat on the Ordinance Committee. Notable achievements include leading passage of a landmark workers' compensation reform bill—the most significant since 1993—advancing roadway safety measures, streamlining commercial transactions, and enhancing penalties for illegal street takeovers. He supports strong public education, lowering costs for healthcare and seniors, infrastructure investment, and small business tax reductions and training. In leadership roles, he has served as Assistant Majority Leader, Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee, and Vice Chair of the Commerce Committee, with additional service on General Law, Public Safety and Security, and other committees.
Education and Political Experience
Education: Graduated from New Britain High School ; B.A. in political science from University of Notre Dame ; M.A. in American government from Georgetown University; J.D. from Boston College Law School . During law school, he clerked for the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and provided pro bono services through Boston College Legal Services LAB. Currently an attorney at Cohen and Wolf, P.C.
Political Experience: Elected Berlin Town Councilor ; Connecticut House 83rd District . In his first term, focused on public health and small business legislation, securing funding for public safety, youth nonprofits, and veterans. Holds positions as Vice Chair of Commerce and Judiciary Committees, and serves on General Law and Public Safety committees.
