Biography

Jack K. "Jack" Daniels is a Republican representing Ohio's 32nd House District in the Ohio House of Representatives, serving since his appointment on April 24, 2024. He replaced Bob Young following Young's resignation and won the 2024 Republican primary against Mary Stormer , securing his position. Daniels, a 53-year-old from New Franklin, owns and leads multiple trucking and logistics companies, including Kandel Transport Inc. , Kandel Cold Storage, Armstrong Refrigeration Truck and Trailer Repair, Gilchrist Truck Parts, and Stutler Leasing Inc. Notable positions include Vice Chair of the House Transportation Committee and member of the Insurance, Small Business, and Ways and Means committees; he aims to simplify Ohio's tax system.

Education and Political Experience

Daniels attended Kent State University and the University of Akron. His political career began on the Portage Lakes Career Center School Board, where he served as president. Elected to New Franklin City Council in 2021, he chaired the Laws and Ordinances Committee, then advanced to Vice President and Council President in 2024. This experience led to his state House appointment.
