Biography
Jack R. Cera was a Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives, serving District 96 for a total of nearly 25 years across two stints: 1983-1996 and 2011-2020. A Bellaire, Ohio native, he was married to Becky with two daughters, Jaclyn and Bethany. Cera was a dedicated advocate for eastern Ohio families in Belmont, Monroe, Noble, Jefferson, and northern Washington counties, known for his open-door policy and service on key committees like Finance, Ways and Means, Agriculture, and Natural Resources. Notable roles included Assistant Minority Whip , Ranking Member of the Finance Committee, and leadership on select committees such as Workers Compensation, Longwall Mining, Coal Technical Advisory, and Energy Mandates.
