J.B. Jennings is a Republican politician and farmer representing District 7 in the Maryland Senate, covering Baltimore and Harford Counties, since 2011. He previously served in the Maryland House of Delegates for the same district from 2003 to 2011 and was Senate Minority Leader from 2014 to 2020. Notable achievements include chairing the Harford County Delegation , serving on the influential Budget and Taxation Committee , and leadership roles like Vice Chair of the Maryland Veterans Caucus . A volunteer firefighter and EMT since age 16, he supports fiscal responsibility, rural issues, and has been involved in caucuses such as Maryland Rural Caucus, Maryland Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus, and Taxpayers Protection Caucus.
