Biography
Hunter Magnuson Abell is a Republican representing Washington's 7th Legislative District in the state House of Representatives. Elected in November 2024 with 70.72% of the vote, he serves as a state representative from Inchelium, bringing over 20 years of military service as a Commander in the United States Navy Reserve, including deployments to Iraq and Guantanamo Bay. An attorney and member at Williams Kastner, he previously served as president of the Washington State Bar Association since 2023 and as judge of the Ferry County District Court. His priorities include enhancing public safety, supporting agriculture and ranching, fiscal responsibility without tax increases, and protecting Second Amendment rights.
