Biography
Holly Beth Stover is a Democratic member of the Maine House of Representatives representing House District 48 . She has served since December 2018, initially elected to the 89th district in 2018, reelected in 2020, and redistricted to the 48th in 2022; she sought a fourth term in 2024. A longtime Boothbay resident, Stover works as executive director of the Community Resource Council and director of development for Lincoln County Dental, a nonprofit for low-income dental care. Her career spans over 30 years in public service, including 23-25 years with the state of Maine , focusing on at-risk children, youth, families, behavioral health, mental health, developmental disabilities, substance abuse, and policy development. She is single with one child and two grandchildren. Notable achievements include receiving the 2022 Legislative Award from the Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault and a 79% lifetime rating from Maine Conservation Voters. She serves on the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee and has held roles on Health and Human Services, Government Oversight, Joint Select Committee on Housing, and as House chair of State and Local Government. Stover advocates for healthcare access, mental health resources, opioid crisis response, and basic needs like housing and social services.

Education: Bachelor's degrees from Nasson College and the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine.
