Biography
Holly T. Sargent is a Democrat representing House District 147 in the Maine House of Representatives, serving the town of York in York County. Elected in November 2022, she is currently in her second term and serves on the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee and the Joint Select Committee on Joint Rules. A consultant by occupation, she founded and leads Doing Good While Doing Well, a firm connecting nonprofits, social entrepreneurs, and philanthropists. Notable achievements include nearly 20 years as senior associate dean for strategy and external affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School, executive director for development at the Rhodes Trust, founding director of the Harvard Women’s Leadership Board, president of the York Rotary Club, and leadership roles in community and faith organizations such as St. George’s Episcopal Church and Together Women Rise.
