Hillary Hickland is a Republican State Representative for Texas House District 55, which covers central Bell County, including the cities of Temple, Belton, Harker Heights, Nolanville, and Killeen. A ninth-generation Texan from Belton, she is a 42-year-old homemaker, devoted wife, and mother of four, driven by her faith and commitment to community service. First elected in 2025 and sworn into office in January 2026, she prioritizes issues like border security, education, and cost of living. Notable community roles include over a decade as a Crisis Pregnancy Center mentor, PTA president, active member of Central Texas Republican Women, and Vice President of her local Daughters of the Republic of Texas chapter. She is fluent in Spanish, having taught English in Mexico after college.
