Helena Scott is a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives, currently representing the 8th District . Born February 26, 1961, in Detroit, she is married and has served since January 2021, initially elected to the 7th District in 2020, reelected in 2022, and shifted to the 8th District in 2024 following redistricting.

• Education: Earned a degree in Psychology and Political Science from Marygrove College.
• Political Experience: Organizer for SEMJeJ since January 2017; elected to Michigan House in 2020 , reelected 2022 and 2024 , serving her third term as of 2026.
