Biography
Heather Surprenant is a Democratic representative for Windsor-4 in the Vermont House of Representatives, serving since 2021. A resident of Barnard in Windsor County, Vermont, she was raised in Randolph and works as a farmer managing the organic vegetable operation at Kiss the Cow Farm, also handling dairy production including milking Jersey and Normande cows for milk and craft ice cream. She is an activist for women's rights, human rights, food sovereignty, and climate justice, with notable positions including Vice Chair of the Committee on Agriculture, Food Resiliency and Forestry. She earned perfect scores from Vermont Conservation Voters for 2026 and lifetime performance.
