Heather Miley Cloud is a Republican State Senator representing District 28 in the Louisiana State Senate, which includes parts of Acadia, Allen, Avoyelles, Evangeline, Rapides, and St. Landry Parishes. Elected in October 2019 by an overwhelming majority, she is the first Republican to hold this seat and is eligible to serve through the 2028-2032 term.
