Biography

Haseeb Fatmi is a Democratic member of the North Carolina Senate, representing District 18, which covers parts of Granville and Wake counties. He was appointed to the seat on May 21, 2026, and is described as an attorney and political newcomer.

Fatmi also serves as a Wake Forest Town Commissioner and was elected to that local office in November 2025.

Education

Fatmi is a North Carolina native who earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. from Fordham Law.
