Biography

Harlan H. Vincent is a Republican member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing District 56 . Elected in November 2022, he assumed office on January 1, 2023, and serves on the House Appropriations and Finance Committee. A Christian conservative, he emphasizes faith, family, personal responsibility, and protecting constitutional freedoms. Born in Clovis, New Mexico, he worked cattle before moving to Ruidoso, where he and his wife Rhonda—married 33 years—raised a son and daughter and now enjoy two grandchildren. Vincent served Lincoln County for 25 years as a fireman and EMT, retiring in 2016 as the Village of Ruidoso Fire Chief; he also commanded the Ruidoso Emergency Operation Center and chaired the Sierra Blanca Wild Land Fire Academy. In 1993, he started Flash Paving and Sealcoating, a small business still operating today, and currently works as a contractor. His community service and entrepreneurial experience position him as a strong advocate for economic development, tax policies, and business owners in New Mexico.
