Biography
Gregg Bush is a Democratic member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 50 . Elected in November 2024, he assumed office on January 8, 2025, succeeding Douglas Mann. He serves on the House Committees on Corrections and Public Institutions, Health and Mental Health, and Professional Registration and Licensing. Notable achievements include being the only nurse in the Missouri House and the first healthcare professional from Boone County since 1870; he is also a proud union member advocating for working families, public schools, nurses, and patients.
Education and Political Experience
Bush holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri, where he was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Scholar. Prior to his election, he worked in healthcare and the arts; this is his first term in the House, with the next election in 2026. He resides in Columbia, Missouri, with his spouse Iyesatu and their three children: MK, Cameron, and Carson.
