Biography

Greg Scott is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 54th District since 2023. The district includes the communities of Norristown, Plymouth Township, and Conshohocken in Montgomery County. A native of Norristown, he was raised by his mother Peggy, who instilled values of hard work, grit, and community service. As a teenager, he served as a non-voting junior borough councilman, volunteer firefighter, and EMT. Notable achievements include becoming the first African American magisterial district judge in Montgomery County and the youngest sitting judge in Pennsylvania at age 28 in 2015. He resigned in 2022 to run for the House, winning election on November 8, 2022, with 72% of the vote. In office, he has secured increased funding for public education , resolved over 1,700 unemployment cases, provided 10,679 constituent services, introduced 12 bills , and advocated for criminal justice reform, mental health programs, housing initiatives like E.P.I.C., and reducing recidivism.

  • Earned a bachelor's degree in business communications from Chestnut Hill College.
