Biography
Greg Overstreet is a Republican member of the Montana House of Representatives representing District 88 . Born in Vancouver, BC, he is approximately 57-59 years old , grew up poor in a small town of 60 people, and lives in Stevensville where he owns Overstreet Law Group as an attorney. He is the Town Attorney for Stevensville, writes a column "Ask an Attorney" in the Bitterroot Star, and sponsored the bill designating rodeo as Montana's state sport. Married to teacher Anne Marie Gurney, he has a step-son, Ben Gurney, and attends Bitterroot Family Church as a Christian; he credits two near-death experiences in 2021 with inspiring his public service. Notable positions include service on the House Committee on Judiciary.
Education and Political Experience
Overstreet worked his way through law school, built a successful law practice, and focused on conservative legal causes. Politically, he won election to House District 88, defeating Kim Dailey in 2024 , and is listed as a candidate for the 2026 primary. He serves as R-Stevensville representative with involvement in sponsored bills and committee work.
