Representative Greg Burtt

Greg Burtt is a lifelong farmer and small business owner from Cabot, Vermont. He grew up in Cabot, attending Cabot School from kindergarten and graduating as valedictorian in 2003. After earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Vermont in 2008—where he received the Student Engineer of the Year award—he returned to the family farm with his wife, Stef. Together, they operate Burtt’s Apple Orchard and a 30,000-tap maple sugaring operation, previously managed by Greg’s parents, Keith and Johnnye. The couple has four daughters who assist on the farm.
Burtt serves as chair of the Cabot Community Investment Fund and is an elder and treasurer at New Journey Fellowship. He was elected to the Vermont House of Representatives in 2025, representing Caledonia-Washington , and serves on the House Committee on Agriculture, Food Resiliency, and Forestry. His priorities include lower taxes, quality education, supporting small farms, and encouraging economic growth.
