Gloristine Williams Brown graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She later earned her Master's in Public Administration from Troy State University and her Ph.D. in Public Policy & Administration from Walden University. She served as City Council Alderwoman in Prichard, Alabama before running for Mayor. Brown lost two mayoral races in 2012 and 2016 before finally winning the election in 2020. She is Prichard's first female African-American Mayor.read less
