Biography
Glenn D. Jeffries is a Republican State Senator representing District 8 in West Virginia, covering parts of Putnam and Kanawha counties. Born on July 15, 1961, in South Charleston, West Virginia, he is a businessman and Baptist. He is married to Sherry G. Jeffries and has four children: Ashley G. Bailey, Jared W., Austin K., and Amanda B., along with three grandchildren. Previously a Democrat, he switched to the Republican Party, joining the caucus as one of the state's senators. Notable achievements include attracting a $500 million investment from Berkshire Hathaway to Jackson County through a letter to Warren Buffett and sponsoring key 2025 legislation, such as SB 907 on high-impact development projects and efforts on economic development taxes and railroad modernization.

- Political Experience: First elected to the West Virginia Senate in 2016, reelected in 2020.
