Biography
Glen H. Sturtevant, Jr. is a Republican member of the Virginia Senate representing District 12, which includes all of Colonial Heights City and parts of Chesterfield County. Born on September 13, 1982, in Wilmington, Delaware, he is a practicing attorney specializing in complex civil litigation, including medical malpractice, and represents veterans pro bono worldwide. Married to Lori Cochrane Sturtevant, a school teacher, they have four children: Ethan, Reed, Emily, and Noah. Notable achievements include leading education reforms on the Richmond School Board , such as implementing zero-based budgeting and auditing school departments; serving in the Senate from 2016-2020 and reelected in 2024 after winning the Republican nomination in the redrawn district; and current roles on the High Speed Rail Compact Commission and Veterans' Benefits Matters Work Group. He has advocated for government audits, tax reductions, Second Amendment rights, election integrity, and pro bono services for disaster survivors.
