Biography
Ginny Ehrhart is a Republican representative for House District 36 in Georgia, covering portions of western Cobb County. A long-time Cobb County resident for over 45 years, she was raised on U.S. Army bases as the daughter of a Lieutenant Colonel and settled in the area with her family. She lives in Powder Springs with her husband Earl; they have six grown children, four grandchildren, and an Australian shepherd named Dixie. Before politics, she owned a successful small business, taught high school economics and American government, homeschooled her children, and worked as a television chef and home life consultant for Family Net Television. She authored two cookbooks, Sunday in the South and Seasons in the South, hosted a weekly lifestyle show on 920AM Atlanta, and appeared frequently on regional and national television and radio discussing southern cuisine and hospitality. Her experience as a small business owner shapes her conservative priorities: public safety, pro-business initiatives, and education.
