Gerald W. Hocker is a Republican state senator representing District 20 in Delaware, covering areas in Sussex County including Ocean View and Bethany Beach. Born and raised in Sussex County, he has served in the Delaware Senate since 2012 after representing the House of Representatives from 2002 to 2012. He owns and operates businesses such as G&E, Inc., Hockers Super Center, and G&E Hardware with his wife, Emily. Notable positions include Senate Minority Leader since 2018 and prior role as House Minority Whip from 2010 to 2012. He serves on committees including Agriculture, Banking/Business/Insurance & Technology, Housing, Legislative Council, Rules & Ethics, and Veterans Affairs.
