Biography
George F. Lang is a Republican state senator representing Ohio's 4th Senate District, which covers most of Butler County. He currently serves as Senate Majority Whip for the 136th General Assembly, a leadership role guiding legislative priorities. Elected to the Senate in 2020 and serving his second term, Lang previously represented Ohio House District 52 from 2017 to 2021. A longtime public servant from West Chester, Ohio, he served as West Chester Township Trustee from 2003 to 2018 and on the West Chester Board of Zoning Appeals for seven years prior. Lang is an entrepreneur who founded the Lang Agency and other businesses employing over 100 people; he previously worked in sales and management at Procter & Gamble. He co-founded the bipartisan Business First Caucus, now the largest in the General Assembly, to support small businesses. Married to Debbie for over 40 years, they have two daughters, Amy and Alicia, and reside in West Chester.
