Biography
George J. Hruza is a Republican representative for Missouri House District 89 in St. Louis County. Elected in November 2024, he assumed office on January 8, 2025. A dermatologist with over 40 years of experience specializing in Mohs micrographic surgery, he has treated tens of thousands of patients with skin cancers and taught dermatologic surgery to professionals across five continents. Son of a Holocaust survivor, he immigrated from Czechoslovakia to New York at age 14. Notable achievements include advocating for patients with federal and Missouri regulators during his presidencies of the American Academy of Dermatology/Association and Missouri State Medical Association; he previously ran for Missouri Senate District 24 in 2022.
