Biography

George Dungan III, born on August 12, 1988, in Lincoln, Nebraska, is an attorney and public servant representing District 26 in the Nebraska Legislature. Elected in 2022, he succeeded Matt Hansen. Prior to his legislative role, Dungan served as a public defender in Lancaster County for nine years, advocating for individuals navigating the criminal justice system. His commitment to community service is evident through his involvement with The Bridge Behavioral Health board, promoting mental health support, and his participation in the Lincoln Pedestrian/Bicycle Advisory Committee. Dungan's dedication to mentorship earned him recognition in the TeamMates Mentoring Hall of Fame.
