Biography
Geary M. Higgins is a Republican delegate representing District 30 in the Virginia House of Delegates, covering parts of Fauquier and Loudoun Counties. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he lives in Waterford, Virginia, in a historic home with his wife, Gail B. Higgins; they have three daughters , five grandsons, and one granddaughter. A business consultant who owns Geary Higgins LLC, he attends Cornerstone Chapel Church and serves as Chairman of the 10th GOP Congressional District and on the Board of Evergreen Christian School. Notable achievements include placing the village of Bluemont on the National Register of Historic Places and Virginia Landmarks Register, securing funding for the restoration of the John G. Lewis Memorial Bridge and Old Waterford Mill, and expanding the Balls Bluff Battlefield.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from PennWest Clarion University ; also attended The Citadel.
- Professional Experience: Retired Vice President of Labor Relations for the National Electrical Contractors Association in Washington, DC; served on industry educational boards, as a healthcare and pension trustee, and as an arbitrator.
