Biography
Gary Turco is a Democratic state representative serving Connecticut's 27th House District, which includes parts of Newington and New Britain, since 2019. He currently serves his third term as Deputy Majority Leader and sits on the Higher Education and Employment Advancement, Public Safety and Security, and Transportation Committees. Notable achievements include securing millions in state funding for the district, creating a debt-free community college program, expanding tax exemptions on Social Security and pensions for seniors, protecting Cedar Mountain land, and mandating ultrasound coverage for women with dense breasts to aid cancer detection.
