Biography
Gary N. Click is a Republican state representative serving Ohio's 88th House District, which includes all of Sandusky and Seneca Counties. Born on December 29, 1965, he won the seat in 2020 and is currently in his third term. A longtime pastor at Fremont Baptist Temple from 2006 until stepping down in 2025 , Click has over 30 years in ministry, including youth ministry, bus ministry, writing, radio, Christian education, and lobbying Congress for churches and Christian schools. He has also served as a chaplain for law enforcement and hospice care. Married to Nanette, they have four sons—Nathaniel, Zachary, Garrison, and Micah—and four grandchildren. Notable achievements include leading the SAFE Act , Save Women’s Sports Act , and sponsoring "The Personhood Act" to ban abortion from conception. He chairs the Community Revitalization Committee and Ohio Christian Legislators Caucus, and serves on the Ways and Means, Education, and Children and Human Services Committees.

- Education: Bachelor of Religious Education from Midwestern Baptist College .
- Political Experience: Elected to Ohio House District 88 in 2020, defeating Democrat Chris Liebold 62.9% to 37.1%; reelected for third term. Strong conservative advocate for law enforcement, substance abuse recovery, school choice, and pro-life policies; criticized Ohio's Issue 1 abortion ballot initiative. Previously chaired Governor's Evangelical Advisory Council .
