Biography
Senator Gary Boswell
Gary Boswell is a Republican state senator from Kentucky's 8th Senate District, serving since 2023. Born on June 19, 1954, he is a lifelong resident of Daviess County in northwestern Kentucky. Boswell is a farmer and real estate developer who previously owned and operated a business for 30 years before transitioning to real estate investment. He is a member of Heritage Baptist Church and has been active in community organizations including the Daviess County Farm Bureau and Owensboro Right to Life.
Boswell is a family man who has been married for nearly 48 years and has six children and 14 grandchildren.
Education
Boswell attended Owensboro Business College.
Political Experience
Before his election to the Kentucky Senate in 2022, Boswell served as a Daviess County Commissioner. His Senate district encompasses Daviess, Hancock, and McLean counties, with his home city being Owensboro.
In the Kentucky State Senate, Boswell holds several significant committee positions:
