Garrett McGuire is an American politician and member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing the 17th District, which covers part of Fairfax County. He was elected to the position through a special election in 2026 and is a member of the Democratic Party. McGuire was born in Washington, D.C. in 1985 and is married to Meghan McGuire.

Education

McGuire earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Tech and subsequently completed a Master of Public Administration from the same institution.

Political Experience

As a state delegate, McGuire serves on three House committees:

• Health and Human Services Committee
• Communications, Technology, and Innovation Committee
• Cities, Counties, and Towns Committee
