Garner Musashi Shimizu is a Republican member of the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing District 32 since 2024. A lifelong resident of District 32 since third grade, he is a husband, father, grandfather, and community leader focused on issues like cost of living, crime, homelessness, and retaining kamaʻāina. Prior to politics, he co-owned and served as vice president of Master Sheet Metal, Inc., and held leadership roles in the Sheet Metal Contractors Association , General Contractors Association Subcontractors Council Committee , Sheet Metal Union Trust Funds Board , and Joint Apprentice Training Committee. He is active in community service as Neighborhood Security Watch Captain, Moanalua Valley Community Association board member, and participant in local projects and meetings. Notable positions for the 2025 session include committees on Judiciary, Hawaiian Affairs, Water and Land, and Public Safety.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Attended Moanalua Elementary, Intermediate, and High Schools; BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa.
