Biography
Gabriel Rodríguez Aguiló is a Puerto Rican politician affiliated with the Partido Nuevo Progresista *. He represents Puerto Rico *At-Large in the House of Representatives, having initially been elected for District 13. Born on August 19, 1973, in Ciales, Puerto Rico, he is married and the father of three children. First elected in 2004, he has been reelected multiple times , serving continuously since then. Notable positions include President of the Commission of Health and the Joint Commission of Health Rights during his first term, and later Speaker Pro Tempore of the House.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Associate degree in Chemical Engineering Technology from the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo; associate degree as a Pharmacy Assistant from National University College in Arecibo; Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
- Early Career: Worked as a pharmacy assistant for four years until 2003.
- Political Experience: Selected by his party in the 2003 primaries as candidate for District 13; elected Representative in 2004 general election. Reelected in subsequent cycles, advancing to leadership roles focused on health policy and House proceedings.
