Representative Fue Lee is a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor ** party, representing **District 59A in North Minneapolis, Minnesota, which includes parts of Hennepin County. Born in a refugee camp in Thailand to Hmong parents from Laos, he immigrated to the United States in 1992 as a toddler and grew up in Minneapolis. He is the first Hmong-American to represent Minneapolis in the Minnesota Legislature and a founding member of the People of Color and Indigenous Caucus and Minnesota Asian Pacific Caucus. Notable achievements include serving as Chair of the Capital Investment Committee, with prior roles as Assistant Democratic Leader .
