Biography

Frank J. Mrvan is a Democrat representing Indiana's 1st Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives, serving since January 3, 2021. Born around 1969, he graduated from Morton High School in 1987 and earned a bachelor's degree from Ball State University. Prior to Congress, he worked as a licensed mortgage broker and pharmaceutical sales representative, then served as North Township Trustee in Indiana for 15 years . He is married to his high school sweetheart Jane, with two daughters, Genevieve and Scarlett. Notable positions include the House Appropriations Committee , subcommittees on Commerce, Justice, and Science, and Energy and Water Development; previously on Education and Labor, and Veterans’ Affairs committees. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Congressional Steel Caucus, advocating for steel, manufacturing, labor, good-paying jobs, affordable healthcare, and Northwest Indiana's economy.
