Frank LaRose is a Republican politician serving as the 51st Secretary of State of Ohio since January 2019. Born on April 18, 1979, in Akron, Ohio, he previously represented Ohio's 27th Senate District in the Ohio State Senate from 2010 to 2019. A U.S. Army veteran, LaRose earned the Bronze Star for service in Iraq and served as a Green Beret in the 101st Airborne, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class. He is married to Lauren with three daughters and is involved in community service as an Eagle Scout, Junior Vice Commander of the Fairlawn VFW, and board member for the Great Trail Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
