Biography

Francesca Hong is a Democratic state representative for Wisconsin's 76th Assembly District , elected in 2020 with her next election in 2026. Born November 4, 1988, in Madison, Wisconsin, she is a second-generation Wisconsinite, daughter of immigrants, single mother of one child, restaurant co-owner and co-chef, community organizer, and service industry worker. A self-described democratic socialist, she progressed from dish pit jobs to executive chef at 43 North Restaurant and advocates for working families, social/racial/economic justice, affordable healthcare, fair wages, and public services. She is running a grassroots campaign for Wisconsin governor.

Notable achievements and positions: Board member of Wisconsin United Coalition of Mutual Assistance Association, Main Street Alliance Wisconsin , Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, AAPI Coalition of Wisconsin, Rooted Wisconsin; cofounder of Dane County Food Collective and Culinary Ladies Collective ; board member of Kennedy Heights Community Center.

Education: Graduated West High School , 2007; attended University of Wisconsin-Madison.
