Biography
Ferrell Haile is a Republican member of the Tennessee Senate representing District 18 since January 8, 2013. Born and raised in Sumner County, he worked over 40 years as a small business owner, pharmacist, and farmer. He was unanimously appointed by the Sumner County Commission in November 2010 to fill a vacancy in the 18th District Senate seat following Diane Black's resignation, serving until March 2011, and was elected in 2012, with reelections in 2016 and 2020. Notable achievements include serving as Speaker Pro Tempore of the Senate, Chairman of the Senate Ethics Committee, Treasurer of the Senate Republican Caucus, and membership on the Education, Health & Welfare, and Finance, Ways & Means committees.
