Biography
Fentrice DeNell Driskell is a Democratic politician and attorney representing Florida House District 67 in Hillsborough County, including Tampa. She serves as Minority Leader of the Florida House Democratic Caucus for the 2024–2026 term, the first Black woman in this role and the first House member elected to consecutive leadership terms since 1992. A Tampa Bay native, she is recognized for bipartisan efforts on police reform , historic cemetery preservation , Medicaid expansion, and advocacy for healthcare, education, gun reform, environment, and voting rights.
