Biography

Felicia Brabec is a Democratic politician born on September 18, 1973, in Aurora, Illinois. She served two terms in the Michigan House of Representatives, first representing the 55th District from 2021 to 2023 and then the 33rd District from 2023 to 2025. She did not seek re-election to the House in 2024 and is running for the Michigan State Senate in the 15th District in 2026, which covers parts of Washtenaw, Lenawee, and Monroe Counties. Prior to her House service, she served nine years on the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners. Brabec is married to David Brabec and has two children, Alex and Viviann. She resides in Ann Arbor and is a Catholic.

Notable achievements include sponsoring or cosponsoring over 1,200 bills on mental health access, environmental protection , reproductive rights, criminal justice reform, education, and small businesses. Key legislative successes: protecting abortion access, ending "Right to Work," common-sense gun legislation, expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit, banning conversion therapy for minors, and implementing mental health screeners for juveniles. She chaired the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and the Health Policy Subcommittee on Behavioral Health, and served on various Appropriations and Health Policy committees.
